Hi(gh)-Trust Lo-Tech: Essential Components for Data Strategy
Leaders are eager to jump into using data and analytics. Nowadays, it has become less an option and more a must have in order to be competitive. As expected, there are a number of challenges that will come up and impact progress. In particular, there are two areas leaders need to pay attention to: 1) focus less on technology and more on the process enabling capabilities such as data governance, data quality, and especially data usage rights – including privacy; 2) focus on establishing high trust-based relationships with the stakeholders who will realize the value of data.

Panel Discussion
People, Process, Technology and Data
Digital Transformation is fuelled by Data Driven Insight, but not without people & technology. Organizations need to look beyond the new normal; to the future reimagined. How can organizations rethink business models to modernize in line with people, process, technology and data. Resistance to change, effective integration, and the right smart technology are just a few challenges organizations face.

Track 1: Establishing the vision for a data-driven organization
CDOs, CAOs and D&A leaders, know that the key to success in this digital age is data. To capitalize on the true potential of data at our fingertips, organizations must fundamentally change how they view and use data. Transforming the view of D&A from what was typically considered a support function, to a strategic growth asset and core business competency requires data leaders to innovate to match the pace of digital transformation. How do D&A leaders quantify and prove the ROI of data initiatives in the context of bona fide business value? How can data leaders drive change while bridging the gap between business and technology?
Track 2: Get ready for Enterprise AI success
Organizations with diverse ecosystems are significantly more likely to have a transformative vision for AI, enterprise-wide AI strategies, and use AI as a strategic differentiator. How can organizations be ready for enterprise AI success? In enterprise AI, there's a gap between what's possible and what's expected — a disconnect that is hurting implementation. While the ultimate goal for AI adoption is a more efficient organization, sometimes the gap between the possible and the achievable is too big. Sometimes, the technology is ready to deliver, but the infrastructure and quality of data aren't quite there yet.
Track 3: Data democratisation - Enabling employees to take control of their data objectives
Expanding the pool of people who can analyse and develop meaningful business action from data is critical to gain a competitive edge for your business. Data democratisation as a goal has been hampered by silo issues, fears around data quality and access to skills to analyse it properly. That said, if done properly it will enable different functions to make better decisions and collaborate more effectively. Critical to success is creating a culture where people want to take control of their own data destinies and how can IT be an enabler given the critical questions of governance.

Anonymisation: The essential tool for data-sharing, GDPR compliance and data protection
GDPR brought about many changes in the way corporations make use of personal data. It has served as an inspiration in many jurisdictions beyond the EU. It has also raised awareness about privacy. But most importantly, it has brought about NLP techniques that protect our data at the time of sharing documentation and as an add-on to cybersecurity. As an NLP technique based on named-entity recognition, anonymisation also serves to extract key knowledge from documents and big data. In this session, we will learn key concepts such as data controller, data processing, the difference between pseudonymisation and anonymisation, several techniques and user scenarios, when to apply anonymisation as well as real-life use cases, with Pangeanic as a key enabler in Public Administrations and corporate uses of anonymisation.

The Business Engine Room - Identifying Insights and Making Data Driven Decisions
According to KPMG Capital, 99 % of businesses consider data and web analytics to be important to their organizations, yet 85 % of executives struggle to analyze and interpret their existing data. Analytics are the foundation for a differentiated customer experience and more meaningful engagement. What begins with using data to understand the customer, then deriving actionable insight from that data to achieve top-line growth and provide a consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints, is a top priority for many organizations.

Everything You Wanted to Know About Building Data-Driven Culture
In recent years, Data and Analytics leaders realized that, regardless of their best efforts, many Data Analytics projects still fail to create value mostly due to lack of common language between analytics and business teams but also due to lack of analytics awareness and commitment on the business side. So, in today’s World when there is so much noise about big data and analytics, what data driven culture really means? What does it take to build it? Why is it so hard? Why for so many companies a strong data driven culture remains elusive?
