General Donation to IJS

A general donation to the Institute for Judaic Studies will support and enhance our cultural and educational programs.

Rabbi Stampfer Lecture Fund

To honor Rabbi Stampfer's 28 years of service as executive director of the Institute for Judaic Studies a new lecture fund was established in his name. This "Rabbi Stampfer Lecture Fund" will allow us to bring a speaker to our community on an annual basis. 


Roscoe & Madeline Nelson Community Education Initiative Fund

This fund was established thanks to the generosity of Jeff and Roz Babener.  It supports educational programming.



Portland Jewish Film Festival Fund

Support the Portland Jewish Film Festival. Contributions to this fund will help cover the cost of movie rentals as well as provide lower priced tickets for students and seniors.

שחידו (Hiddush/Innovation) – The Rabbi Joshua Stampfer Grant Fund 

This offers financial assistance between $500 and $2500 to promote innovation and to launch new projects consistent with the IJS mission.



Weekend in Quest

Weekend in Quest is a shabbaton, or Shabbat study retreat. Since 2007, Weekend in Quest has been held in February or March at a hotel in Astoria, on the beautiful Oregon coast.
