The Israeli Film Series, sponsored by the MJCC in partnership with IJS, features the following movies:

10/3 TURN LEFT AT THE END OF THE WORLD

10/10 YOLKI PALKI: a documentary about the Russian community in Israel today. The former Russian Jews look back with humor on their difficulties in their integration in Israeli society.

10/17 I HAD A DREAM: the extraordinary life story of Yona Bugale who worked ceaselessly as a teacher and community leader in order to prevent the possible destruction of Ethiopian Jewry.

10/24 THE GOLDEN POMEGRANATE: Mazal, a Jewish child-bride from Yemen, preserves her religion, culture, and unique art, amid the harsh conditions of Jerusalem. during the late 19th and mid 20th centuries.
